Past Events
4th of July / ST. Mary's Parade
Congratulations to:
1st Place P.J. & Lisa Fields -55 Chevy, 2nd Place Ron & Sue Brown - 65 Mustang, 3rd Place Jack & Gail Barwick - 56 T-Bird.
We couldn't make if for the parade and show, but Ron wrote to us when we got home and told us what a disaster the line up and parade was.
At line up they had the cars split up and then when it came time to park in town, they didn't leave any parking for us.
We forwarded his letter onto Allen Rassi, President of the Kiwanis Club of St. Mary's.
This is his response back to us:
"I appreciate your words and know that we are planning on moving the parade down to the Mill Property at the Rock Shrimp Parades and the 4th of July
Parades. I had two women in charge that created a serious mess in which my favorite Kiwanian Audrey Clark saw this mess and offered to step in and help
get us going in the right direction. I agree with Ron and I feel that team Kamikaze does not need to be parked at all near the Tractors or Classic Cars. I have shared with the committee that I feel that the classic cars and tractors should be behind the Toonerville Trolley. This would put you all at the beginning and protect the cars
and tractors from overheating! I know Audrey and her new parade committee will take care of you as she did in the past when she was parade chair prior to the
disaster the last couple of years.
Please let your Classic Car Club know that I will offer to ride with you to ensure we keep the Club happy and excited about coming!
